Junior Hardware Engineer

Gardasoft is looking for a Junior Hardware Engineer to join our fast-paced Hardware Team. To find out more about the role, please email careers@gardasoft.com.

Key aspects of the role

  • Be a solid part of our electronics design team.
  • Design electronics systems from concept to production
  • Product design - collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers/ technicians to design/ solve complex problems
  • Comply with the company‚Äôs new product introduction process

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 1 years' Hardware experience
  • Microcontroller/ embedded design experience
  • Experience using design tools like Altium or equivalent. PCB design for mass production.
  • Rapid prototyping skills.
  • Experience with simulation tools like LTspice
  • Good knowledge of electronics fundamentals
  • Strong soldering skills and a good knowledge of the PCB manufacturing processes
  • Understanding of compliance (EMC, safety, RoHS, REACH and WEEE)
  • Mechanical knowledge an advantage
  • Understanding of power electronics/ supply topologies (dc-dc converters)
  • Ability to commute to our office in Cambridgeshire.

European Support Engineer

Gardasoft is looking for a talented European Support Engineer to join our growing Technical Support Team. The role provides the opportunity to travel throughout Europe and spend a period of time in USA. To find out more about the role, please email careers@gardasoft.com.

Key aspects of the role

  • Provide expert advice to machine vision engineers by email, phone and in person
  • Provide training to European partners and customers
  • Develop an excellent working relationship with key European technical partners
  • Travel throughout Europe to support sales activities and provide training
  • Gather intelligence about developments in machine vision applications and technology to feed into the Gardasoft Product and Markets Strategy
  • This role can be based in any EU country or the UK but a training period in USA is likely

Key Requirements

  • An engineering science, electronics or computing degree or an equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of one year's experience, ideally with a Machine Vision or Factory Automation supplier.
  • Delight in technology and a practical, hands-on personality
  • Willing to operate independently and take the initiative with a high level of professionalism
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Confidence and ability to work with technical and sales colleagues of any nationality and level of seniority
  • Fluent in one or more European language in addition to English
  • UK or EU Passport holder
