LEDs are current driven devices and current control from the LED power supply is essential for precise intensity control. The Gardasoft LED Lighting Controller range offers precise current control (strobe, pulse or continuous control) to ensure stable and repeatable illumination for Machine Vision Lighting and Image recognition systems.
Available in 1, 2, 4, 8 and 16 channel modules, the Gardasoft range of LED Lighting Controllers allows the user to precisely control an LED light module on each channel.
Each channel is controlled independently, with either continuous output or strobing of the light, with timing control down to 1µS on selected models so fast moving objects can be 'frozen' when imaged. Gardasoft's patented SafeSense™ allows the LEDs to be overdriven safely, protecting the LEDs whilst optimising the amount of light produced. OLED panels have many benefits in machine vision applications because they give an exceptionally stable and uniform light intensity across the width of the panel. They are also very thin and can be moulded into complex shapes. However, OLED lights are challenging to control because the physical properties inherent in OLED panels demand sophisticated drive techniques to obtain fast and accurate pulsing.
