The PP500 range is our latest controller which covers 95% of applications and is the first controller to consider. The PP500 is similar to the PP600 with its embedded push button interface, but has an optional Ethernet connection instead of RS232. The PP500 is recommended for new applications. With an Ethernet interface it is ideal for integrating into systems using GigE Vision cameras.
The PP500 offers our patented SafeSense™ technology. This unique technology offers intelligence that determines the rating of the lights connected, and then applies safe working limits that ensure that the user can not damage the lights by driving them too hard. This is especially beneficial when overdriving the LEDs.
There are four controllers in the PP500 range offering a choice of control interfaces as well as high speed versions that offer extremely fast repeatable pulse times down to 3µS.
The PP600 range is another popular, providing repeatable intensity control and pulsing. This two channel controller offers an embedded push button control interface as well as the option of remote control via RS232. The PP600 controllers also offer a unique “selected” trigger mode that allows one light to be switched to four different customer defined output intensities, based upon the status of the two trigger input channels.
There are several options available within the PP600 range of controllers, offering the options of standard or high speed pulse timing, pushbutton and RS232 control, and the option of Japanese style light connectors.
Eight channel controllers are now available to address the new generation of high power LED technology offering extremely high current pulsing, coupled with precise current resolution and highly accurate timing. The PP820 lighting controller has been designed to meet these needs offering up to 20A per channel, with repeatable pulse width times down to 1µS.
The PP820 is controlled via an Ethernet connection, and can be accessed simply via a web browser or using our free software which can be downloaded from the PP820 product page. Integration into third party packages is also easily achieved by use of simple string commands.
The PP860 eight channel controller also offers all of these excellent features, the only difference being that control is via RS232.
Timing can be based on precise delays or on exact conveyor belt travel using encoder inputs. With eight input channels and eight output channels the CC320 offers the ability to integrate various components into a working synchronised solution.
