Big interest in lighting control at UKIVA MVC

Publish Date: July 2019

With visitor numbers up by 15% at the recent UKIVA Machine Vision Conference and Exhibition, Gardasoft Vision was delighted with the high level of interest shown in lighting control.Gardasoft’s Head of Marketing, Jools Hudson, said: “A large number of people attended my seminar early in the Conference morning session and then we had a steady stream of visitors to our exhibition stand throughout the day.”

“It was interesting to see that many of the people who talked to us didn’t completely understand the many benefits that precision lighting control has to offer”, she continued. “It was therefore a great opportunity for us to be able to explain these to them and show them some of our equipment in action.”

On show was the award winning industrial OLED controller, the new FP220 high speed lighting controller and a live demonstration featuring a CC320 timing controller, encoder and RC120 lighting controller showing how a light could be strobed to image a number of objects on a turntable rotating at high speed.

Gardasoft presented a seminar entitled “Solving machine vision lighting challenges’, which explained the power of lighting control to maximise machine vision performance.  The seminar described how strobing, overdriving and multi-channel operation can give versatility and increased performance.

“The seminar struck a chord with many people”, concluded Jools. “Lots of people came to speak to our team afterwards to find out more about lighting control and how it could help them with their real world vision applications.”
